Dr. Rebecca Hartog BDS (Ncle) DRDP (Lond)
Principal Dentist
Rebecca takes great pleasure in being part of a fantastic team at Alresford Dental Care and being able to make a difference to the Alresford community. Her passion for dentistry started at the early age of fourteen when she was lucky enough to have three weeks work experience with her childhood dentist. She then studied dentistry at Newcastle University gaining the undergraduate award for restorative dentistry on graduation in 2001 and winning several prizes for her overseas studies. Since then she has enjoyed working in Hampshire for nearly 10 years and also furthered her knowledge and skills through completing a 5 year long post graduate diploma in restorative and implant dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital. |

Dr Rachel Evans BDS MFDS RCS
Associate Dentist (Specialising in Oral Surgery)
Rachel graduated from Newcastle Upon Tyne Dental University in 1998. She spent 2 years in general practice before following a career in hospital. Her knowledge and skills in oral surgery have been gained over the last 7 years working in the speciality of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. She has worked at Newcastle General Hospital, Queen Alexander Hospital and Southampton General Hospital.
She currently holds the post of Staff Grade in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Southampton General Hospital. Her duties involve the removal of teeth under local and general anaesthetic, as well as the management of oral conditions and the treatment of facial trauma patients.
Rachel enjoys an outdoor life in the New Forest, sharing a noisy house with her husband and two young boys |

Dr Will Shaw BDS
Associate Dentist
Will qualified in 2003 from University of Liverpool after working in general practice in Liverpool for two years. Will lives in Hampshire with his wife Nicola and two little girls. He has a special interest in resorative cosmetic dentistry and has recently beat off stiff competition to win a prestigious award in a national competition.
The National Smile Awards recognise excellence in cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Shaw triumphed in the conservative composite smile category after fitting invisible braces to align a patient’s lower teeth and undertaking composite bonding to close the gaps in her upper teeth.
He has undertaken extensive post graduate training in this area and is also a provider of invisalign invisable braces. Will enjoys running, skiing, golf and playing guitar. |

Dr Clare Britton BDS MFGDP
Associate Dentist
Clare qualified in 2001 from the University of London and worked as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and in General Dental Practice before settling in Hampshire in 2003.
Clare now lives in Hamble with her husband Peter and their young daughter. Clare is committed to postgraduate development and has completed courses in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and has gained a Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practicioners from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She is now studying at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute in London and is a certified provider for adult cosmetic high speed braces
(the Inman aligner) and Invisalign clear aligners. When she isn't working Clare enjoys spending time with her family, watersports and learning to bake cakes. |

Dr Luke Hutchings BDS
Associate Dentist
Luke qualified from Cardiff University in 2002 and has since enjoyed 9 years of interesting and varied work in general practice in both Cardiff and more recently London. Luke has a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry but his particular passion and expertise relates to restorative dentistry including exceptional veneers and crowns.
For the past 4 years he has also thoroughly enjoyed working in a specialist sedation clinic in Hammersmith providing sensitive treatment to the most nervous of dental patients. This specialist work has enabled Luke to deliver dentistry in a calm, caring and supportive manner, recognising the individual needs of patients of all ages from the very young to the more elderly.
Joining Alresford Dental Care marks an exciting point in Luke's life, relocating with his wife Alison back to her roots in Hampshire. In his spare time Luke is a keen sportsman and enjoys rock-climbing, snowboarding, and surfing and is looking forward to exploring Hampshire's outdoor life. |

Mrs Kathy Anderson
Senior Receptionist
Kathy has worked in Alresford for over 6 years when she moved into the area. She enjoys her job and especially likes helping and meeting new people. Her hobbies include socialising and going for walks in the country. |

Mrs Lynn Vokes
Receptionist
Lyn has worked at the practice since 1998. She grew up in Alresford and now lives locally. What Lynn likes most about her job is being able to help look after all of our patients. Her interests are gardening, travelling and looking after her many pets.

Miss Anna Perowne RDN
Dental Nurse
Anna joined the practice in September 2009 after gaining her Dental Nurse Qualification in Bournemouth where she previously worked chair side for 3 years. Anna plans to embark on her Radiology Qualification next year and also hopes to become more involved
with implantology. Anna is very happy to have been welcomed into
a warm and friendly practice and looks forward to furthering her experience along side such a supportive team. During the weekend Anna enjoys socialising, visiting art galleries and going to the theatre.

Miss Laura Davies
Dental Nurse
Laura joined the practice in August 2009 and is currently training for the NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing at Eastleigh College. Laura is also a trained Beauty Therapist which she does in her spare time. During the weekend Laura enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her family and friends.

Lynsey Young
Dental Nurse
Lynsey is an extremely experienced dental nurse and joined Alresford Dental Care at the beginning of March 2011. Five years prior to this she worked alongside Dr Hartog in a previous practice where they very much enjoyed working together. She has worked as a dental nurse for 10 years. She is very kind and considerate when caring for our patients of all ages and is currently furthering her qualifications by studying for the radiography (x ray ) certificate.
Lynsey has a passion for horse riding and she competes at dressage, show jumping and cross country events most weekends. |

Hannah Ridge
Dental Nurse
Hannah has loved being a dental nurse for nine and a half years, since she qualified in 2005. She very much enjoys providing excellent support for our patients and following on their continuing care. She has a wealth of knowledge in the field of sedation and implants and works closely with Dr Hartog and Dr Evans to bring this advanced level of care to our patients. Hannah loves to socialise and meet up with friends and spend time with her family and dog.
In her spare time Hannah likes to experiment with cooking and baking cakes. |

Beryl Price RDH
Dental Hygienist
Beryl qualified as a dental hygienist in 1983 whilst serving in the Royal Navy. During her 23 years she served in numerous UK ports as well as Italy and Gibaltar. Her service career gave her the opportunity to experience numerous dental duties including Clinical Hygienist, Practice Manager, Health an Safety warden and NVQ Assessor. She concluded her military career at the Tri- Service Dental School as a Dental Hygiene Tutor and on promotion to the Senior Naval Instructor was involved in the basic and continuation training of dental nurses for all three services. On completion of active service she worked in Private Practice in Southampton before joining us in April 2008.
In her spare time Beryl enjoys gardening and helping her husband Steve modernise their house. |

Mrs Sandy Young Dip DHc RCS
Dental Hygienist
Sandy qualified as a dental nurse in 1994, and after working for 10 years in practice, decided to further her career and gained a place at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital ( part of University College London ) where she studied dental hygiene. After commuting to London for 2 years and juggling family matters, she graduated as a mature student in June 2007.
Sandy lives very close to the river Arle enabling her and her family to enjoy walking, cycling, horse riding and the great countryside Alresford has to offer
